We set up and designed their own channel on YouTube, SpineCareCenter this is a free service were all the videos have been posted.  They have only been up for 3 months now and they are coming up first on Page 1 for search terms like “back pain, Manassas, VA”.  Needless to say they are very happy with the results.  The videos are not only making them findable on the web, but setting them apart from the stiff competition that resides on page one.

Do some research on your industry to see how much video is on the web regarding your products or services in this geographic area.  This matters because when Google does a search it is taking into account the users current location.  If there is not much video I have good news for you, you could kill it!! That’s right, you could stomp the competition.  The key here is to get in the head of your prospect.  What are the questions they ask the first time they talk to someone from your office?  These are the same questions your prospects are typing into Google.

I am Mark Dickerson, an energetic sales & marketing personality in Northern Virginia/DC Metro area.  I have an extensive knowledge of using video to boost your company to page 1 of Google.

So, is your website generating business or is it just a pretty brochure boasting to your prospects how great you and your company are?  While your and your companies accomplishments are important, this information is not attracting potential prospects to your website.  Right about now you might be saying, “I don’t get business from the website anyways.”  Well maybe you are missing something.  Let’s face it the landscape has changed, the yellow pages are worthless and referrals of the old days are falling to the way side.  So why are  referrals drying up?  This is a very good question, In order to answer that I will ask you to step back to the late 80′s early 90′s.  This is a time when the internet was new and exciting for most people.  A great way to talk to people from all over the world in “Chat Rooms” on AOL hahahahaha……….oh the time wasted in chat rooms.  As a culture though, we did not trust the internet yet, and for good reason, you could easily get scammed out of your money if you were looking for a great deal.  In fact, if it was 1989 and I told you I just ordered a $600 TREK mountain bike off the web, you would probably laugh at me knowing that at best I probably had about a  %50 chance of every seeing my new bike or my money.

Things are different now, studies show that %87 of customers are going to the web to get what they need, over %90 of those customers are turning to Google, making page 1 of Google the “Holy Grail” for businesses all over the world. See over the years with the help of giants like AOL, Yahoo, Google and now YouTube, yes YouTube, the internet has proven itself as a valuable and safe resource where customers can shop for whatever they want or need in the privacy of your own home.

“Yea, but my business is different.  I am a doctor, or a lawyer, or an accountant.  We get most of our referrals from our client base.”

Look let’s be honest, if you got a DUI and needed a lawyer, or needed a good accountant because you were late or behind on filing your business taxes you probably would not want your friends or family to know your business.  So you, like most others will turn to the web to find information first, and use that information to make a buying decision.  That my friend is why your referrals are drying up, and it is only going to get worse.

So the landscape has changed, are you going to just sit there and watch the younger generation X take all the money because they have embraced the internet while you have been just hoping it would go away.  Well I got news for you, the internet is not going anywhere and the Yellow Pages are DEAD.  If you need a serious overhauling over your marketing and sales efforts you need to act now.  Your family, business partners, and employees are depending on you!
